Welcome Message From the New Owners

We're looking forward to the upcoming Sale and invite you to join BB's Closet as a new or returning consignor, volunteer or shopper!  Now is a great time to check out BB's Closet and help your family save or earn money.  The secret is out...many central NJ families in the area sell or buy at BB's Closet because passing along gently used children's clothing is great for your wallet and the environment!  As always, your ideas, suggestions and comments are welcomed, so drop us a note at bbscloset@gmail.com.  The Sale will be here soon, so start getting ready!  See you at the sale!

Warmly,

Lori and John

Owners of BB’s Closet

Sale Location

We’re excited to announce that we’ll once again be at the VFW Hall in Manville.

CPSIA Legislation in the Works Requires Greater Attention to Item Safety and Recalls

The US Government is safeguarding the health of children by considering specific legislation that affects the sale of children's items. Clothing, toys, baby gear etc. may not contain lead in excess of limits set by the CPSC and must be safe. BB’s Closet will NOT sell items on the list of recalled items or that might contain lead. CONSIGNORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THE ITEMS YOU SELL ARE NOT RECALLED OR DEEMED AS HAZARDOUS BY THE CPSC and we’ve updated our consignor agreement to reflect your responsibility in this area. Click here for more information from the CPSC website.

Consignor Registration Closes Saturday, September 25th at 10PM

Don't wait until the last minute to register with us as a consignor. Tell your friends who may be new to consigning with BB’s Closet that registering early is a must! We don’t want anyone to miss out on a GREAT sale! You can still enter items until Sunday, September 26th at 10 pm .

Item Limits

Due to the overwhelming amount of merchandise that we receive and given our growing number of consignors, we will be maintaining our limits for the number of items to 200 items per consignor. To allow for greater variety, we are also requiring that consignors be limited to bringing 5 duplicate or exact same items.  We will continue to  limit items in the maternity, shoe, and infant category in order to offer only your absolute highest-quality itemsEach consignor is limited to 10 maternity items, 8 pairs of seasonal shoes ( shoes that are attached and sold as part of an outfit are not counted in the limit),  and 30 total infant items per gender in sizes 0-24 months. The infant limit does not include outerwear, costumes, or sports/ dancewear.  We will strictly adhere to these limits and continue to examine items very closely at check-in so that we continue to offer our shoppers only the best quality merchandise.  To increase your sales as consignors, “Take only your best and leave the rest!”

Referral Programs Discontinued
We no longer offer the Referral Programs.  We now offer the opportunity to earn 1 preview pass for each 4 hour shift of volunteering.  For example, work two (2) 4 hour shifts and receive 2 preview passes; work three (3) 4 hour shifts and recieve 3 preview passes.  If you are a consignor volunteering for 2 or more 4 hour shifts, you will earn the maximum of 75% of your sales in addition to the preview passes.  For example, a consigner works one (1) 4 hour shift and receives 70% of their sales and 1 preview pass; a consigner works two (2) 4 hour shifts and receives 75% of their sales and 2 preview passes; a consigner works three (3) 4 hour shifts and recieves 75% of their sales and 3 preview passes.

Become a Volunteer and Sale Promoter and encourage others to do the same!

We could not run our sale successfully without so many dedicated volunteers. Many hands do make lighter work and even better, volunteering allows you to shop first at the BB’s Closet Preview Sale on Thursday evening.  By coming into the sale an hour before others, you get first dibs on the best items. Anyone can volunteer – if you know someone who might like the opportunity to shop first and help out – please tell them about the sale and how to reach us. Also, we work very hard to get sale flyers to pre-schools, promote the sale through advertising, word of mouth, signs, etc. and we could use help with this too. If you have an idea for promoting the sale to more people and can help us with it, let us know and we may be willing to barter with you for a volunteer shopping pass!

Check In Changes
BB's Closet is now requiring 4 items at check in.  In addition to the consignor agreement, self-addressed stamped envelope, and your complete inventory list, we will be collecting the registration fee at the time of check in.  You must have all of these items with you at check in or your items will not be accepted at that time and you will have to reschedule.  We are also still requiring all items to be sorted by size and gender, if applicable.

Pick-Up Process Changes
BB's Closet has a new pick-up procedure where you will pick up your unsold items at specific times based on consignor ID numbers.  If you are unable to pick up your items during your specific time slot, you will need to contact John or Lori to make other arrangements.
